Special entry requirements
In view of the international focus of the degree, 50% of the credits for the programme will be taught through English. For this reason, students must show proof of English language proficiency at a level equivalent to B1 or higher in order to be eligible to register.
Students entering university through the Galician public secondary school system with a grade average in English of 7 or more over their final two years are exempt from the requirement to show proof of English language proficiency at a level equivalent to B1 or higher, as the universities are already in possession of this information. Only students entering the degree from a private Galician secondary school or a public or private school in a different region of Spain are required to show proof of their grade average in order to register.
Students with a grade average in English of less than 7 may also certify their English language proficiency by one of the following alternative methods:
- Official B1 certificate (as recognised by the Association of Higher Education Language Centres (ACLES): acles.es).
- Certificate/proof of attendance of a school in an English-speaking country for fourth, fifth and/or sixth year of their secondary education.
- B1.2 (or higher) diploma of attendance and achievement or B1 (or higher) diploma of proficiency from the University of A Coruña Language Centre (or other Spanish university language centre).
